Item Descriptions

We always aim to describe our products as accurately as possible and show items using a range of photographs from different angles. We ‘grade’ the condition of our products according to the following scale: New/Mint/Excellent/Very Good/Good/Fair/Poor. It is up to the customer to satisfy themselves prior to ordering of the condition of an item using a combination of the item description, photographs and as necessary asking us for further information or photographs** Where the customer later disputes the condition of an item and asks for a refund, it will be processed subject to the conditions and deductions indicated below for ‘other reasons’.

Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations your right to cancel an order starts when you place your order and doesn’t end until 14 days from the day you receive your goods. If you wish to cancel your order please inform us by email or by letter (not by telephone or text). Please do not return goods before your cancellation has been acknowledged by Chelmsford Militaria. Once acknowledged, where goods have already been received by the customer it is their responsibility to return the item (in the condition they were originally received) and bear the cost of this. Some of the products sold here can only be transported via specialist couriers under contract (rather than accessed ad-hoc by the general public). In this situation, Chelmsford Militaria can arrange a pickup of the goods, but this will be chargeable to the customer. Returns to Chelmsford Militaria must be made within 14 days of us acknowledging the cancellation.

If goods are faulty or not as described Chelmsford Militaria will provide a full refund including postage. Alternatively, a replacement product may be available should the customer require this. Where returns are made for other reasons (including the customer having changed their mind, etc.), postage will not be refunded, and the refund may also be subject to the deduction of a restocking fee. Neither returns, nor refunds are available in the event that there are changes in legislation relating to sale or ownership of deactivated firearms.

Due to the nature of the products offered here, all goods should be considered as second user unless specifically stated otherwise in the product description. Please bear this in mind BEFORE ordering and note that refunds may not be available where this is the reason given for requesting a return and refund.

* Please note we actively aim to recycle packaging materials and will therefore re-use boxes, bubble wrap, etc. where we can. Please be assured, however, that this will not be to the detriment of assuring the safety of your purchase in transit.
