DEACTIVATED AUSTRALIAN 1918 SMLE (4772)

A World War I Short Magazine Lee Enfield rifle dated 1918 and made at the Australian factory of Lithgow, it has matching numbers to the bolt, receiver and front nose cap. It’s not matching to the rear sight although the rear sight is marked MA 1943 so shows it did WW2 work as well, still has magazine cut off and lovely wood furniture retaining both top wood ears, Cocks, strips and dry fires comes complete with GB deactivation certificate dated 1992.
